Alongside our illustration work we created a microstock image portfolio to support our studio. For several years (before the advent of Gen AI made hand drawn work less relevant) this was the largest stock portfolio of any kind, with all the major stock image agencies hosting well over a million of our images. This positioned us well to also provide consultancy from a contributor perspective to companies looking to invest in image sales platforms.
We were brought on board by Canva at start-up, and to help with both of their critical expansion phases, to produce and provide content (in that way also having the honour of being their first contributor). Our images have been downloaded and used in published projects by Canva's user base over 50 Million times.
More recently we were commissioned by Adobe to produce and supply animated assets in this style for their Abobe Express platform, during initial expansion, which resulted in further supply projects in various hand drawn 'human' styles.
The portfolio is composed of hand drawn individual assets, copyright safe (vetted and curated by all the major stock agencies including Adobe, Getty, Shutterstock and Canva) with no AI used.
